Community Projects


Slave River – Ghana
Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park was one of the largest slave markets for gathering people to sell into slavery during the infamous trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Princess Town – Pokesu
Princess Town, also known as ‘Prince’s Town’, and by its local name ‘Pokesu’ or ‘Bokaso’, is best known as the site of the elegant Brandenburg-built Fort Gross Friedrichsburg, constructed in 1683.



Agona-Ashanti – Agona
Agona-Ashanti occupies a very great place in the history and culture of the Ashanti Kingdom. The Chief of Agona during the reign of Obiri Yeboa was called Okomfuo Yamoa.

Makandal Daaga Library and Museum – Trinidad and Tobago
The Makandal Daaga Library and Museum will house writings, teachings, and information on Chief Servant Makandal Daaga, who gave fifty-four years of dedicated and sterling service.



Moore Town – Jamaica
The conquest of Jamaica by the English in 1655 led to an influx of Western and Central Africans into the country through the slave trade. Consequently, a number of the enslaved escaped to various parts of the mountains.

Santa Maria de Chicometepec – Mexico
Over time, the Afromexican native dance, Danza de los Diablo, (adults) and (children) has been disintegrating, due to different factors. As a primary factor, it is perceived that to perform the dance and its dance steps…
