The Makandal Daaga Library and Museum will house writings, teachings and information on Chief Servant Makandal Daaga, who gave fifty-four years of dedicated and sterling service to the development of Trinidad & Tobago.

On Independence night, 31st August 1962, the Chief Servant, then Geddes formed the Pegasus organization. He collaborated with a colleague in writing the constitution of Pegasus overnight.

The Museum will portray Recordings (largely of performing artists spanning 50 plus years. Primarily two sets of artists will be projected, namely those whose calypsos reflect the values, philosophy and works of the movement, those who rose from the training, international exposure on arranged tours to the US, Ghana, Nigeria, England and the Caribbean), seminars, workshops and our host of competitions to motivate a drive to excellence.

Also being displayed will be artefacts, paintings, pictures, sculptures, videos, trophies and other display material which portray the era and work of Chief Servant Makandal Daaga and the various institutions in which he would have played a significant role.
